Our first responsibility is to your safety and confidence. That’s why our recommendations are built on transparent methods, declared biases, and clear corrections when we get something wrong.

Independence and Funding

• We do not accept paid placements or guarantee coverage.
• Some outbound links are affiliate links. Commissions never affect our scores or picks, and we label affiliations per FTC guidelines.
• Test purchases: when possible, we buy anonymously. If samples are provided, we disclose it and hold products to the same criteria.

How We Choose and Review Products

• Selection is driven by use cases (drive, ride, film, work), reader requests, and market coverage. Safety‑critical categories get priority.
• All products face the same standardized tests (GripScore, VibeScore, ViewClear, HeatHold) and install evaluations.
• We publish pros, cons, and known trade‑offs. If a product is great for one scenario and poor for another, we say so.

Accuracy, Updates, and Corrections

• We time‑stamp major guides and methodology versions.
• If we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and note the change.
• When firmware or hardware revisions change performance, we retest or update guidance.

Conflicts of Interest

Contributors must disclose financial interests, consulting relationships, or gifts. We recuse contributors where conflicts exist.

Data and Evidence

We prioritize primary testing and clearly mark any secondary sources. Measurement methods and weightings are described in How We Test; raw data summaries are provided where feasible.

Community and Feedback

Thoughtful disagreement improves our work. We welcome fitment reports and real‑world results at [email protected] and integrate validated feedback into updates.

Sample Handling and Disposal

Loaners are returned when requested. Long‑term samples are labeled as such and may be used for regression testing. We do not resell samples.

Safety and Legal Notes

Our guidance cannot account for all vehicles, jurisdictions, or conditions. Always verify visibility laws and airbag zones for your location, and follow manufacturer instructions.

AI and Automation

We may use automation to organize data, but human editors review recommendations and all test summaries prior to publication.
